Dr. M. Wendy Holder graduated from  the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Dentistry in 1987.  Dr. Holder received a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University in 1983 and an Associate of Science degree from Young Harris College in 1981.

Dr. Holder has been in private practice since 1987. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Ninth District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, Baptist Medical and Dental Fellowship, and the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. 

Dr. Holder served as President of the Ninth District Dental Society, a delegate to the Board of Dental Trustees, a Board member of the Alabama Donated Dental Services Program, and the secretary/treasurer of the Alabama Dental Foundation. 

Committed to quality dental care for the community, Dr. Holder works as a consultant to the Bill Nichol's Veterans Home in Alexander City.  She has also been a past consultant to Adam's Nursing home and Brown's Nursing home. 

Local community groups that Dr. Holder is involved with are the Chamber of Commerce of Alexander City, Operation Downtown, and The Tallapoosa County Cattleman's Association.  Dr. Holder has received an award for her help with the Tukabatchee Area Boy scouts.  Dr. Holder has served as a VIP Waitress with the Local Chapter of the Leukemia Society.

Dr. Holder has served her dental profession on the International level with Volunteer Medical and Dental Mission trips.  Dr. Holder has shared her skills with both children and adults in Brasil, Costa Rica, Peru, and Jamica. 

Dr. Holder is a member of First Baptist Church of Alexander City.  She served as Girls in Action leader at Jackson's Gap Baptist from 1988 until 1998.  Dr. Holder is currently a consultant for Girls in Action with the Tallapoosa County Associational Baptist WMU. 

Dr. Holder enjoys spending time with her two-year-old son Paul and husband Hal.  The family is renovating a historical home in Hackneyville, Alabama.  The homeplace has room for horses, dogs, and cat.  Reading and scuba diving are still favorite hobbies of Dr. Holders but with an active toddler at home, they will have to wait.
