Dr. Wendy Holder

In private solo practice since 1987, Dr. M. Wendy Holder graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Dentistry. Dr. Holder received a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University in 1983 and an Associate of Science degree from Young Harris College in 1981.

Dr. Holder understands how important it is to stay active and abreast of issues and opportunities in the dental community. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Ninth District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, Baptist Medical and Dental Fellowship, a member of the Hinman Society, and the Academy of Dentistry International. She also served as President of the Ninth District Dental Society, a delegate to the ALDA Board of Trustees, co-chair of the Alabama Dental Lifeline Network, and program director for the AL Mastertrack. Dr. Holder is honored to serve as the president of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry.

Committed to quality dental care for the community, Dr. Holder has worked as a consultant to the Bill Nichol's Veterans Home in Alexander City since 1991. These avenues allow her to bring her skills to help some of the elderly in the community to maintain good dental health.

Dr. Holder has served her dental profession on the international level with volunteer medical and dental mission trips. Dr. Holder has shared her skills with both children and adults in Brazil, Guatemala, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru and Jamaica. She has traveled to China, Cuba, and Tanzania to share and lead dental techniques and procedures with an international team. These travels allow her to fulfill her personal mission to help others both here and abroad.

She enjoys reading, painting, glass fusion art, woodworking, and gardening. Dr. Holder enjoys travel adventures such as diving or exploring caves with her husband and son.
